boot Düsseldorf invites you to the 59th Essen Sailing Week with a prize draw

From September 2nd to 10th, the 59th Essen Sailing Week on Lake Baldeney in front of the impressive backdrop of the Villa Hügel built by Alfred Krupp marks the highlight of the regatta season for sailors in North Rhine-Westphalia - with the support of boot Düsseldorf, of course.

As usual, the boot Düsseldorf, who has been a strong partner of this regional event for many years, is on board of the 59th Essen Sailing Week as sponsor of a number of popular prizes and trophies. This year, two boot Düsseldorf teams will even be taking part in the extremely popular Folkboat regatta, the Team Cup on Friday, September 8th.

The Open Class Regattas, which form the main part of Essen Sailing Week, will be held for a total of 12 different boat classes this year. The organizers expect about 500 active sailors to participate in the races during the week, thus providing impressive views on Lake Baldeney. The regattas are accompanied by an extensive schedule of events, including the tent city with its countless gastronomic offers right on the lakeside promenade close to the spectator stands for the races.

Prize draw for boot.club-members

boot.club-members have the exclusive chance to win a very special experience on Lake Baldeney if they enter our boot.club contest for the 59th Essen Sailing Week. The prize is one place in each of the two boot Düsseldorf teams, giving the winners the opportunity to take part personally in the races of the Team Cup of the 59th Essen Sailing Week.

The final entry date for the competition is 31st August, 2017. Participation is reserved exclusively for members of the boot.club and will be available on the boot.club website. Membership of the boot.club is free. The Team Cup races in which the winners will participate will take place on Friday, September 8th, 2017. They will be sailed on the Folkboats of the boot Düsseldorf team under the guidance of experienced skippers. Sailing skills are not required for the participants, waterproof clothing will be requires depending on weather conditions.
