Classic and modern lines find each other in the design of the Brightly 1530. The classic flared stern and part-wooden railings endow the ship with a classic touch, which is beautifully juxtaposed by the contemporary and athletic look of the wrap-around windows and elongated foredeck.
You will immediately sense the luxury and refinement that are normally reserved for only the biggest of the mega yachts when you step aboard. The Brightly 1530 easily exceeds everything that Serious Yachts has built over the past few years, not merely because it is our biggest yacht to date, but more so because its finishing is the very epitome of the Serious Yachts dedication to details and quality: from the stylish air vents for the heating to the artfully designed stainless-steel shorepower outlets – every detail was carefully crafted by hand. The giant high-gloss walnut doors, the oval stainless-steel railing, the furniture, and the Alcantar-covered walls and ceilings all bear witness to perfection and craftsmanship at the highest level.
Tasteful and modest, those are the signature characteristics of the Gently 36'. A stylish appearance with irresistible attention to detail: from the (optional) wooden cabin to the classic portholes and mast.
The fully-folding teak doors will effortlessly blend the open cockpit with the saloon. Despite the relatively modest length of 11 metres, this yacht offers ample space. The headroom is over 2 metres throughout the ship and the cockpits wrap-around seating offers enough room for a group to enjoy life. The Gently 36 has a large, freestanding bed in the captains cabin, and the dining space can be turned into a double bed, meaning that guests are always welcome.
The beginning The water sports enthusiast and yachts painter Derk Bonsink was planning to buy his own yacht in 2004 when he discovered that no shipyard could deliver exactly what he wanted. He decided to completely refit a 1975 Bowman Trawler and fell in love with yacht building. The first pleasure yacht he created was the Serious Yachts 13.80, soon followed by the Gently 36 and the Gently 36 Sport. The latter was even nominated for HISWA motorboat of the year 2009. Serious Yachts was born.
