BLUE NOSE II (1963 – CANADA)

• In March 1921, The bluenuse, a fishing and racing schooner was launched in Lunenburg. Built by the Smith and Rhuland shipyard, the bluenose was a real Ico thanks to the fishemen’s Race. The bluenose won her first trophee in October of 1921 and it was imposible during the next 17 years to defeat her.
Bluenose stuck a reef in Haiti in 1946.
• “Blue Nose II” , the replica of the legendary Canadian schooner “Blue Nose” was launched on July 24, 1963 from the Smith & Rhuland Shipyard in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. She was built from identical plans and by some of the same men that constructed the original.

• Restored in 1941, it is now exhibited in Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, Connecticut.

HMS VICTORY (1765 – ANGLETERRE)

• HMS Victory is a 104 gun first rate ship of the line of the royal navy. In May 1765 HMS Victory was launched in Chatham’s Royal Dockyard.
• The H.M.S. VICTORY participated in numerous battles under the command of Sir HORATIO NELSON. She is most famous with the battle of Trafalgar in 1805 against French and Spanish fleets, she was flagship to Admiral Nelson. And she was flagship for different admiral as Keppel, Howes…
• In 1922, she was moved to a dry dock at Porthmouth, where she remains today. 25 millions people visited her as a museum of the sailing navy.

SOLEIL ROYAL (1669 – FRANCE)

• The most impressive and the most beautiful ship never built for French Marine, the Soleil Royal was a 104 gun ship of line. Launched in 1669 in Brest, she was named in honour of Louis XIV. She was decorated tastefully with wooden carving, and some symbol of the french monarch.
• She was the Tourville’s flagship and participated to many battles as Battle or Beachy Head, battle of barfleur and the famous battle of LA HOUGUE. And on 1692, the Soleil Royal was destroyed by english fireships.

KURUN DE TOUMELIN (1949 – FRANCE)

•The Kurun was designes by the naval archited Henri Dervin for Jacques Yves le Toumelin. Launched in 1948, Jacques Yves le Toumelin set out to circumnavigate the globe. Leaved le Croisic on Sptember 1949 and cameback on july 1952.

The models are made from original plans, often obtained from the Museum of the Navy and are accompanied by a historical summary engraved on wood. Each model is numbered and made entirely by hand in the workshop.
