At the end of 2015 Nordship Yachts took over the rights for the Nordic Cruiser. The classic day cruiser was before produced at Folkebaadcentralen in Kerteminde - better known under the name Erik Andreasen or Mr. Folkeboot. Now Nordship Yachts is building and selling the Nordic Cruiser.
Nordship Yacht was found in 1978 under the name Buchwald shipyard. The company started by making accomodation and as sup-contractor for several well-known Danish ship yards. During the years he has gathered a great knowledge from building/developing racing yachts, producing one-off projects and the making of several boats for sailing around the globe.
In 1988 Lars Buchwald acquired the rights for the Nordship boat program, which was the start to a extensive development program, where all the experience from previous constructions was used in the process of developing the new Nordship models. The Nordship Program is today dominating the production of the yard in such a degree that the name was change to Nordship Yachts ApS.
In the start nineties the first deck-saloon yacht was introduced, and today the Nordship model program does only consists of deck-saloon yachts produced individually to meet the specific clients wishes.
With the take over of the Nordic Cruiser has Nordship Yachts added another high quality product to its range of handbuilt boats of highest quality, built after the customers wishes.
