Start your career with Sea Spirit Diving Resort!
The first step in becoming a dive professional is the PADI Divemaster. Your dive education has made you into a great diver so far – during your Open Water you learned how to dive, in your Advanced Open Water you developed and fine-tuned your skills, and you learned how to care for others with the EFR & Rescue Diver. But now its time to take your diving to the next level and become a leader! Becoming a Divemaster gives you the opportunity to be outside in the sun, dive in the sea and show others the beautiful underwater world! With this job, you will always feel free!
When you become a PADI Divemaster you will be able to guide certified divers on fun dives, conduct a Scuba Review for certified divers who want to refresh their diving skills, assist on PADI courses, and so much more! It all starts with the Divemaster Internship. The internship gives you unlimited dives, as well as the opportunity to assist courses, enhance your diving skills, learn from experienced dive instructors, work with other passionate divers, and much more. All this experience will make you an employable and competent dive professional in the future.
What we offer during the training:
During the Divemaster Internship we will focus on your diving skills, problem solving, briefing and guiding groups. We make sure you complete all the required components of the PADI Divemaster Course, such as the Search & Recovery Workshop, the Deep Dive Scenario and the Discover Scuba Diving Workshop. Furthermore, you will gain extra experience by working directly with our customers in all aspects, and become a skilled deckhand by assisting the skippers on our boats and being confident in emergency procedures. You will improve your skills regarding compressor handling and dive equipment maintenance. For the theory component, you will sit down with one of our PADI Instructors who will conduct lectures about various topics, such as physics and decompression theory, to gain a high level of academic knowledge. Assisting instructors will allow you to learn about possible problems that may occur with students, how to help them, how to communicate and how to position yourself during both confined water sessions and Open Water Dives. When you assist a Divemaster, you will learn what to say in the briefing, group management, how to work with differing experience levels, and how to keep everyone safe.
