- INTERLACED - Essay by Sina Vodjani - Multiple Exposure Photography -

I compose most of my photos directly in camera using multiple exposure techniques, then processed to pixel level, the photo remains mostly as it was shot, but also further embedded as a layered compositing element.

With this photographic technique I try to make visible the ethereal and atomic vibrations of things that symbolize movement, timbre and at the same time give movement and dynamism to the work. We realize that the world is not static, it vibrates, it is in constant motion, its smallest basic component, construction stone is light = sound = vibration and brings us directly to science: the Strings Theory.

With the term "INTERLACED" I would like to refer to "the invisible in the visible" and reverse to the "visible in the invisible", the threshold where consciousness oscillates between the known and the unknown, perfection and imperfection, desired and accidental, yin and yang, reciprocity interact, everything is in constant change, it is the constant movement of creativity in the universe .In this gap between these two seemingly contradictory poles, between the predictable and the unpredictable, lies the playground and modulations of creativity. This gives my work a philosophical claim, cosmological, I can even say mystical, pointing to the two extremes that create friction and the eternal movement of life through their interaction.

By deliberately choosing familiar images, known objects, views and monuments as a starting point, I create a universe that evokes organic forms, dreams, memories, emotions, inviting the viewer into another dimension, yet remaining tied to what they already know. In this way, the known leads us into the unknown, inviting us to change our perspective and allowing us to taste the infinite space of creative possibilities. What is objectively perceived contains a multitude of other dimensions and states of consciousness. Since in everyday life, which is partly believed to be predictable and mastered, but very often turns out to be very unpredictable, unforeseen events suddenly call everything into question, this situation then requires a quick creative and spontaneous solution, change, adaptation.

SINA VODJANI | L'art de vivre...

Son of a french mother and a persian father, is a musical ambassador between the orient and the west. his message is spiritual - conveyed through prayers and sounds from all over the world.Born in 1954 in Isfahan (Iran), he grew up in Tehran, San Francisco and Paris, and from his early childhood was led into a life influenced by the most diverse cultures. When he was still very young, he first took singing and guitar lessons, and later studied piano and composition as well as classical and flamenco guitar in Germany.

Sina was prompted by an unexpected mystical experience to take an interest in scriptures from various religions, and over the years he has acquired further considerable knowledge in various fields - including Qi-Gong, traditional Chinese medicine, yoga and shamanism; all of which have influenced his work as a creative artist.his creative work is not limited to music but encompasses a range of fields; as a professional photographer he captures stunning snapshots, landscape photos and portraits - and not just on his travels. as a painter his work has been exhibited in paris, hamburg and other parts of northern germany.

His tireless search for new sources of inspiration has taken him to many countries, of which India, Nepal, Tibet and Iran have had a decisive influence on his art and music. Sina is now regarded as an artist who manages to fuse traditional oriental influences, modern grooves and the prayer chants of Buddhist priests with international musicians to create a unique sound cosmos.Similarly, an album inspired by the teachings of the Persian prophet Zarathustra (aka Zoroaster) was created after a trip to Iran, the country of his birth. All of these productions were created in Sina Vodjani's own modern high-tech recording studio in Hamburg, Germany, where the composer combines a solid knowledge of recording technology, computer programming and spirituality.

A fascinating conglomeration of guitars, exotic instruments and synthesizers shows what is important to him: making the connection between worlds. His projects, an essence of the analysis of different cultures and religions, are not finished with the last sound recording - Sina then sits down at the computer again, but this time his creativity flows into artistic layouts for the design of the CD and brochure artwork. Sina says: "In a way I am a shaman - because a shaman travels from one world to the other.
