Lis 6.0

For the 50th anniversary of the company Gade Bootsbau has developed a new boat. The Lis 6.0 is one meter longer than the proven Lis Family and now has enough space for 4 people.
Due to the low total weight of only 400 kilograms including the 80 kilogram ballast daggerboard, the Lis 6.0 is easy to slip and can also be transported by cars with low trailer loads.
The Lis 6.0's shallow draft of just 25 cm allows comfortable sailing right up to the shore. An optional mast-laying device makes it easy to lay the mast from the cockpit while sailing. The new Lis 6.0 is unsinkable and capsize-proof, making it ideal for beginners. Due to the extremely easy handling, it can also be sailed single-handed.

Technical data:
Length overall: 6,00 m
Width: 2,08 m
Draught: 0,25 m - 1,25 m
Displacement: 400 kg
Slip cabin: for 4 persons

Lis Family

The Lis-Family is the further development of the Lis dinghy cruiser.

The entire boat is built using the hand lay-up method and impresses with its low weight of only 300 kg and elegant lines. The daggerboard box with its low overall height, gives additional space inside the boat. The optionally available 80 kg ballast centreboard increases the capsize safety considerably compared to the standard centreboard. The side coaming provides a protected seating position
Below deck there is plenty of space, the small cabin offers enough headroom and a table, but can also be converted into a -couch- for two adults. In the side tanks are large solid bodies, which make the Lis unsinkable. Under the aft deck there is a 160 litre stowage compartment. The easy handling of the boat, the sails and uncomplicated rigging and unrigging make the Lis a family and beginner's boat. Approximately 2000 boats have been sold to date.
The shipyard grants a 5 year warranty on new boats.

Lis's dinghy

The Lis-Jolle is also suitable for beginners because of its stability and its good-natured sailing behaviour.

The 5-metre-long and 1.72-metre-wide Lis dinghy is a modern round-span construction, built in GRP using the hand lay-up method. It can be found on inland waters as well as on the coast and has many advantages.

At first glance, you can't tell that the small dinghy has a slip cabin underneath, because the deck is only imperceptibly raised. Nevertheless, there is enough space for two adults to sleep underneath (even if they are 1.90 metres tall).

With her trapeze and spinnaker equipment she appeals to the sporty ambitious sailor as well as the touring sailor or daysailer. It does not matter whether you are sailing single-handed, with a foresailor or even with family. The cockpit offers you enough space and the ship enough safety.

During sailing, the sleeping bags and luggage are either stowed watertight in the foreship or in the storage space aft. Both hatches are lockable, the forward one is fitted with a rubber seal. The fore and aft compartments are connected by a double floor, which still has room for moisture-resistant luggage during hiking trips. The two side tanks are separated from each other. The interior is equipped with styrofoam as a buoyancy body...

About us

Company portrait

In April 1969 an accountant of the boatyard Gade had the idea to found a class association. Since then, several fleets have been created, the largest is at the Waldsee in Langen near Frankfurt with about twenty boats, at the Baldeneysee in Essen there are about ten boats, five of them at the EWSC alone. At the Unterbacher See in Düsseldorf, Lake Constance, Lake Lucerne you can rent Lis dinghies, at the Rursee in the Eifel you can also charter them. In Holland, Belgium, Switzerland and Spain she is just as much at home as in other countries. In the past the boatyard sold 7 boats e.g. to Bangladesh to teach navy soldiers how to sail! In the meantime even a location in the Philippines was reported. These are only some locations of Lis boats worldwide.
