Nordwest-Funk was founded on 06.03.1992 by Thomas Eissing. At that time Nordwest-Funk GmbH sold car phones, company radio systems, alarm systems etc. and carried out the installations accordingly. At that time the company was still located in the Hansastraße in Emden.
At the end of 1993 Nordwest-Funk GmbH moved together with H. E. Eissing KG into the new company building of Thomas Eissing in 2. Polderweg 18. In the same period the company Nordwest-Elektronik of Johannes Eissing, which was mainly located in Bremen, was taken over. Nordwest-Elektronik, wholesaler and importer of marine electronics, was at that time general importer for e.g. Apelco, Shakespeare, Tecsup etc.. From now on, this portfolio was distributed in the new company headquarters in Emden under the company name Nordwest-Funk, the company Nordwest-Elektronik was liquidated. The office in Bremen was closed afterwards.
In the course of the years mobile and professional radio were more and more displaced and replaced by the growing portfolio of products and manufacturers from the sports and professional marine industry.
In 2006 the Nordwest-Funk GmbH was taken over by the previous managing director Niko Reisch. In December 2008, the premises at 2 Polderweg 18 were no longer sufficient and Nordwest-Funk GmbH moved to the new company building at Stedinger Straße 20 a in Emden.
On 06.03.2017 Nordwest-Funk GmbH celebrated the 25th anniversary of the company.
